Biography
Born in Halle, Belgium, 1975
Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium
Koenraad Dedobbeleer bases his practise on the presentation of objects and spaces, which accommodate very tenuous transformations. To him, presentation is the act “of offering or proposing something that is deliberately open and available”. He considers it a non-scientific study of possibilities. Through a constant exploration of sculpture, design, architecture and systems of display, he examines how value is ascribed to certain materials and practices, always with a lightness of touch or understated sense of humour.
