Art Exhibition / Kunstausstellung
Published to accompany the exhibition at the Kunst Palast in Düsseldorf from 18 September 2025 to 11 January 2026 and at the Kunst Museum in Winterthur in spring 2027. The exhibition highlights how Hans-Peter Feldmann challenges habitual ways of seeing, the role of art within a social context, and the mechanisms by which taste is formed. His works oscillate between the private and public spheres, between humour and seriousness, between cliché and reality. This is the first comprehensive exhibition since Hans-Peter Feldmann’s death in May 2023 and also the last exhibition in which he was actively involved. The retrospective illustrates the development of his work over five decades and demonstrates the consistency of his artistic approach, which continues to have an impact today in all its diversity and radicalism.
